Unlike oral semaglutide (Wegovy Pill), Foundayo is a non-peptide small molecule — meaning it is not degraded by stomach acid and does not require a fasting window before eating.
This removes one of the main adherence challenges of oral semaglutide. Patients can take Foundayo with food, with coffee, with other medications — like any standard daily pill. For patients who want the convenience of oral dosing without the 30-minute morning fasting requirement, Foundayo represents a meaningful step forward in oral GLP-1 therapy.
